[thermometer raised=18000 target=75000 height=200 align=left] Kei Kamara’s life reads like an exciting novel. Born in West Africa. Survivor of the tragic Blood Diamonds war in Sierra Leone. War Refugee. Escapes to the United States to rejoin his mother. High school, college. Professional soccer star for Sporting Kansas City and his birth country of Sierra Leone. Kei was on loan to the Norwich Canaries FC, realizing a life long dream, and becoming the first Sierra Leonean to ever score in the English Premier League. He is now back with Sporting KC.

Appreciative of the great blessings in his life, Kei is working to give back to his native land.  He has joined up with the Schools for Salone to help build schools to replace those destroyed in the war.  His current focus is to construct the Kei Kamara School in the capital city of Freetown.

“I don’t know where I would be without soccer,” says Kei, born and raised in Kenema, Sierra Leone.
