Our wonderful Uman Talk team distributed menstruation kits to more communities affected by the flooding that occurred in August. These menstruation kits are life changing for women, and allow them to go about their normal daily activities without being limited by their periods.
Our partners also traveled visited some schools to conduct reproductive health education and to give menstruation kits to girls who had started their periods since their last visit.

The Sierra Leone Book Trust visited our library in Makali to train teachers in library management. The training focused on arranging and organizing the library and incorporating the library into school learning. Teachers learned how to create and implement programs, activities, and events to inspire students to love reading.
This training also included students. Students learned how to identify book categories and how to arrange books in the library. Head teachers were also involved, and were encouraged to include a library hour in their school time tables.
