Bill Hamid Provides School Supplies to Flood Survivors

In response to the August mudslide and flooding, Bill Hamid, a professional soccer player for the US Men’s National Team and FC Midtjylland, auctioned autographed, game-worn jerseys to raise funds to support the education of children who survived the disaster. Bill raised $3,600 to provide school supplies to children whose families lost their homes and all their possessions in the mudslide.

At the beginning of February, the PFC team disrtibuted exercise books, pens, and pencils to 750 children in three locations affected by the mudslide. Additional learning materials were given to the Chief for the children who were unable to attend the distribution. In total, 1,100 children benefitted from Bill Hamid’s donation.
